Stunning place to stay, the rooms are pristine and the area is beautiful. The walks along the river and up to the waterfall past the aqueduct are well worth doing.

Aldeia de Pontes is a traditional winter village in Castro Laboreiro. Uninhabited for more than 15 years, we are bringing life back to this village, restoring previously inhabited houses Village rebuilt, my sincere congratulations to whoever had the beautiful idea and possibility of this work. Today it was an abandoned village and came to life. I don't know the accommodation, I only visited the village and the waterfall.

A spectacular place where it is worth spending at least two days, tranquility, peace, relaxation, you can breathe in every corner, even if there is no coverage except at the entrance to the village, which was no problem for us. The village is like a fairy tale, we had never been to a place like this and we return fascinated, eager to repeat

Terrible reception, the people who take care of it are rude and aggressive. We went to visit the village, because from the photos it looked like a great place to spend a few days, they ran with us, they made an elderly woman fall who was treated at the nearest hospital which is 60 km away, the lady suffered head trauma as well as other injuries to her body .We found out later that this episode has already happened to more people, I'm sorry and I don't recommend it. FS

Everything can be improved but the work being carried out is undoubtedly fantastic and there will soon be a swimming pool available to guests. If you want to see the power of a dream, this is where you should stay. The negative point is not having internet and almost no mobile network, of course there will be those who appreciate this but I personally don't need to be completely uncontactable. To the curious who don't stay here and are just going to visit: Respect people's rest and especially each other's image, guests paid to rest and not to be photographed as if they were part of a zoo.

Here the ruins of an abandoned village were converted into guesthouses. With great attention to detail and craftsmanship, the houses have become totally cozy.
